iWeb Technologies was founded in 1996. In 1998, iWeb focused its business efforts on Web hosting and server management and became a reference in the French language Web hosting market. iWeb then expanded its offers to English and Spanish speaking customers. In April 2004, in addition to entering the stock market (TSX:IWB), iWeb acquired a 10,000 square foot building that now shelters its new datacenter and operation center.

What is the most challenging aspect to offering Dedicated Hosting? |
|
Dedicated server hosting is a very competitive market and we need to work hard to always stay at the top and make our offers stand out from our competitors. The most challenging aspect is definitely integrating and packaging new offers every month, integrating new hardware components and building consistently higher performance servers. We hold our technicians and specialists in high regard and work hard at choosing the right person for each position. Each employee is seen as an ambassador – it’s important to choose only the best.

Our dedicated hosting services include a minimum of 500 GB of traffic and most servers are sold with a 1,000 GB traffic allocation. In January 2005 we will start offering a new 10 Mbps unmetered service that will be available on all our servers. We also offer simplified dedicated server control panels (cpanel, Plesk, Ensim, Helm). Our dedicated hosting packages include 1 GB of backup space and more space can be added at a minimal price. Servers are available starting from $ 69 USD a month. All in all, iWeb offers its various services at an unbeatable quality-to-price ratio.

What new features have iWeb8.Com added for its customers in the past year? |
|
We signed several partnership deals with control panel software companies (cpanel, Plesk, Ensim, Helm). We also raised traffic allocation multiple times, up to 2,000 GB. In the near future, 10 Mbps unmetered service will be added. Finally, we added RAID configuration options to the servers and we are now offering servers that include SATA hard drives.

What would you say is iWeb8.Com #1 asset to its customer base? |
I would say that iWeb’s financial health is its prominent asset. Financial health means stability and that impacts our customer base. We pride ourselves in being profitable for several years now (this information is for everyone to verify, as we are a public company).
Another important asset is the fact that our network relies on high quality bandwidth providers. Several of our competitors do business with providers that are not as reliable as the top providers; we try to stay away from those providers in order to assure our customers that they can count on a solid, reliable network.

iWeb will most likely position itself as the leading Canadian hosting services provider. We are also very optimistic that, in the near future, several other locations with datacenters and even more important hosting capabilities will be up and running.

We count more than 20,000 paying customers. Statistics show that 60 % of these customers are from the English speaking market, 35 % are French speaking and 5 % are Spanish. The majority are small businesses but several large scale corporations have chosen our most sophisticated hosting solutions.

Yes, we own our datacenter as well as our operation center.
